Hotel Sosei Sapporo MGallery Collection occupies a former beer factory building within the Sapporo Factory complex, and its design reflects that heritage directly, drawing on the architecture of Hokkaido’s pioneer-era Kaitakushi mansions. Guest rooms and the 58 square metre Hamanasu Suites combine Japanese and Western design elements, with a colour palette and material choice that reference the district’s brewing history rather than a generic hotel template.
The atmosphere is boutique rather than large-scale, with 118 rooms across the property and a restaurant focused on seasonal Hokkaido ingredients. The Bar Lounge, built around a copper fireplace, functions as the hotel’s social centre, and the hotel sits a short walk from the Sapporo Beer Museum, Odori Park and the city’s central shopping and dining precinct.
For golf travellers, the hotel works well as a Sapporo base before or after a Hokkaido golf itinerary, given its central location and proximity to JR Sapporo Station for onward travel toward the Chitose, Tomakomai and Niseko golf regions. An indoor swimming pool and fitness club are on site, useful for recovery between rounds, though golfers should note the property itself is a city hotel rather than a golf resort, better suited to bookending a trip than as a stay-and-play base.
