Niseko Village Golf Course is one of Hokkaido’s premier mountain golf courses, set within the Niseko Village resort at the foot of Mount Yotei. Designed by Arnold Palmer, the course combines strategic shot making with spectacular alpine scenery, creating a memorable golfing experience in one of Japan’s most famous outdoor destinations. Opened in 1992, the course winds through forests of white birch and pine, taking full advantage of the property’s naturally undulating terrain. Palmer’s design rewards thoughtful course management over brute power, with well positioned bunkers, natural water hazards and rolling fairways requiring golfers to shape shots and carefully consider their approach into the greens.
Mount Yotei provides a dramatic backdrop throughout the round, with several holes framed by uninterrupted views of Hokkaido’s iconic volcanic peak. The course operates seasonally from late April until early November before winter snowfall transforms the resort into one of the world’s leading ski destinations.
