Club de Campo Mendoza is located in Guaymallén, just 20 minutes from Mendoza’s city centre and international airport. As the premier 18-hole golf course in the Greater Mendoza region, it offers an enjoyable parkland layout framed by mature trees, tranquil water features and magnificent views of the Andes Mountains.
Designed by the renowned Argentine architectural firm Sánchez Elías, Peralta Ramos and Agostini, the course officially opened in 1974 in the presence of golfing legends Roberto de Vicenzo and Fidel de Luca. Built on what was once the Reboredo family’s olive estate, the course makes excellent use of its flat terrain, creating a layout that rewards accuracy and strategic thinking.
Measuring 6,704 yards and playing to a par of 72, Club de Campo Mendoza places a premium on positioning from the tee. Tree-lined fairways, carefully placed hazards and well-protected, subtly contoured greens provide a challenge that is far greater than the relatively gentle landscape suggests. It is a course where precision consistently outweighs power. Over the years, the club has hosted prestigious Argentine tournaments, including the Argentine Professional Championship, and has welcomed many of the country’s leading professionals, including Eduardo Romero and Ángel Cabrera. The course is overall a fun parkland layout. It lacks the views other Argentine Courses have like Llao Llao and El Desafio, but it is Mendoza’s premier course and worth playing.
The routing at Club de Campo Mendoza sits on largely flat ground, a deliberate contrast to the mountainous backdrop that frames almost every hole. With little natural elevation change across the property, the course is straightforward to walk, and the design instead builds its challenge through narrow, tree-lined fairways and large, contoured putting surfaces that demand precision on approach and around the greens.
The par-5 third on the front nine is a notable early test, a right dogleg that forces players into a tight tee shot window if they intend to reach the green in two. The par-4 ninth is generally rated the hardest hole on the course, closing out the front nine with a demanding approach. The back nine is regarded as the tougher of the two, and its highlight is the par-3 16th, known locally as Ugni Blanc, played over a small pond to a well-guarded green and widely considered the club’s signature hole. The par-3 11th shares a similar look, also played over water, while the closing par-5 18th mirrors the third with another right-hand dogleg, providing a strategic finish to the round.
Club de Campo Mendoza’s clubhouse spans some 2,000 square metres, with an adjoining 600 square metre terrace offering views across the course and surrounding mountains. The Cantina Restaurant, located within the clubhouse, serves food with a similar outlook over the golf course and the Andes.
A modern pro shop is available on site, and the club houses the only public driving range in Mendoza Province, with both indoor and outdoor practice areas. A large putting green is also available for golfers to warm up before their round.
Beyond golf, the club’s grounds include two polo fields, six tennis courts, a swimming pool and a gym, reflecting its role as a broader sporting and social club rather than a golf-only facility. Club rental is available for visiting golfers who need to hire clubs for their round.
