Arima Royal Golf Club’s Noble Course is one of Hyogo Prefecture’s finest championship golf courses, located in the forested hills of Kobe, just minutes from the famous hot spring town of Arima Onsen. Designed by Robert von Hagge in collaboration with Jeffery D. Blume, the course opened in 1995 and showcases the bold visual style and strategic architecture for which von Hagge became internationally renowned. Playing to 6,856 yards, par 72, the Noble Course winds through the natural contours of the Rokko mountain range, where mature forests, dramatic elevation changes and beautifully sculpted bunkering create one of the most visually impressive layouts in the Kansai region. Von Hagge designed the course to challenge golfers through thoughtful positioning and strategic decision making, rewarding precision over power while making full use of the surrounding landscape.
The Noble Course has hosted the Panasonic Open Golf Championship, highlighting its championship credentials and reputation for exceptional conditioning. Although Arima Royal Golf Club also features the neighbouring Royal Course, the Noble Course is particularly admired for its striking architecture and distinctive visual character. Located less than an hour from both Kobe and Osaka, the course is frequently combined with a stay in nearby Arima Onsen, making it one of the region’s premier golf and wellness experiences.
The Noble Course is frequently played alongside the neighbouring Royal Course, allowing golfers to experience two distinct championship layouts during the same visit.
