Located 30 minutes east of Abu DhabiтАЩs city centre, Yas Links is a Troon-manage golf facility widely regarded as the UAEтАЩs best golf course. Ranked 48th best golf course in the world by Golf Digest, Yas Links was designed by American Kyle Phillips; the same person behind Kingsbarns Golf Links in Scotland, Verdura Resort in Italy and Dundonald Links in Scotland. Yas Links presents 18-holes of championship links golf along with a visually stunning 9-hole par-3 course, world-class practice facilities and luxurious clubhouse fitted with a golf academy, gym, swimming pool, spa and award-winning restaurants. Yas Links lies just 20 minutes inland from Saadiyat Beach Golf Club, but still resides on the ocean shores due to various waterways that mould Abu DhabiтАЩs coastline. Owned by the Aldar investment company, Yas Links had a lot of funding and the result of this expansive pool of cash is a simply sensational golf course accompanied by luxurious amenities. Yas Links Golf Course is home to the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship, held in January.
The Yas Links Golf Course is a first for the UAE, opening in 2010 with the first true links design in the Middle East. American Kyle Phillips is renowned for designing links golf courses and Yas Links is no exception. His dedication to the links design is commended and appraised by those who play Yas Links. Managed by Troon, Yas Links is immaculately maintained year-round. Located on the western shores of Yas Islands, the golf par-72 Championship Golf Course features rolling hills topped with fescue grass. There are five tee positions on the golf course which makes it friendly to golfers of all abilities. Located next to the Ferrari World theme park and Abu Dhabi Grand Prix track, Yas Links certainly feels like a golf wonderland with water coming into play on many holes, and waste lands between holes.

The golf course weaves its way up and down a two mile stretch of coastline that was manipulated to form the golf course from 2007 to 2010. Clubhouse
Set against the waterтАЩs edge, the clubhouse at Yas Links features dramatic views over the Arabian Gulf with the perfect setting for dining. The building is a sprawling arch-cladded monolith designed with a blend of Iberia, Moroccan & Middle Eastern influences. Inside, you will find a gym, swimming pool, male spa and world-class pro shop as well as dining facilities. HickoryтАЩs Restaurant has a terrace overlooking the 18th green, open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The Restaurant offers a wide range of international cuisines; there is something to please everyone. Matsu is the other restaurant of Japanese influence: the dishes are peeled back to basic ingredients that showcase the real taste of Japanese dining culture whilst maintaining consistent and exciting authentic Japanese flavours. Inside the golf shop, you will find the best brands including Peter Millar, Nike, Taylormade and Callaway, with custom fitting and repairs offered.
Practice Facilities
Yas Links is a golf destination unto itself. The practice facilities include a full-length driving range that is floodlit, a floodlit 9-hole par-3 course which is part of the Academy and also designed by Kyle Phillips. The par-3 course boasts small greens that will challenge your accuracy, but it offers an exhilarating test for golfers of all abilities. Elsewhere are short-game areas and putting greens.
