The Montgomerie Club was built in association with Ernie Els and The Els Club, and occupies 265-acres in the heart of Dubai. The luxurious golf facility is managed by Troon and features a Troon-run golf academy, a fine dining outlet and a membership program for their community of regular golfers. Established in 2002, The Montgomerie Club is just a 25-minute drive from Dubai International Airport. Designed by golf icon Colin Montgomerie and Desmond Muirhead, the magnificent golf course boasts lush green fairways, manmade lakes, and a landscape of manicured gardens. Water occupies 49-acres of the 265-acre complex and comes into play throughout the 18-holes. The Montgomerie Golf Course in Dubai measures 7,658 yards from the tips (7,003 metres), and has a par of 72 with a links layout. Differing from many other golf courses in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, the houses that line The Montgomerie Club are hidden from site by lush green foliage throughout, so that all you can see from the course are roofs and upper levels.
The golf course features massive green complexes with rolling fairways and a large amount of water that features sporadically throughout the golf course. The enormity of the fairways and greens at The Montgomerie Club are counterweighted by occasional wind that can really mess with your scorecard. By adding a lot of water and links-like layout, Colin Montgomerie demands accuracy and distance control with your shot making. This is a golf course where Scottish Links was meant to meet the Middle East, and it is unique in the UAE for this very reason. Kept in immaculate condition year-round, The Montgomerie Course presents a fun challenge whilst maintaining an aesthetically pleasing outlook everywhere you look.
Clubhouse
The Montgomerie Clubhouse is a grandiose white building that contrasts starkly with the lush green fairways of the golf course. Situated next to a lake and overlooking the golf course, visitors can enjoy fantastic views while dining at the restaurant. There are three dining outlets to choose from at The Montgomerie Club. Monty Cristo is located at the lobby level and features light fare with a pool table to enjoy. Monty’s is located in the lower level of the clubhouse and is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner serving international fare inside and out on the terrace. Nineteen serves Mediterranean cuisine and is located on the lobby level also. The Nineteen restaurant features views over the golf course and has a terrace for outdoor dining. Elsewhere in the clubhouse, you will find lockers, a well-stocked golf shop and world-class service throughout. There is also a gym, pool and wellness spa in the Clubhouse that come complimentary to guests staying at Address Montgomerie..
Accommodation
Visiting golfers can stay at The Address Montgomerie Hotel which is onsite at The Montgomerie Club. The hotel has 21 guest rooms, a pool and a 5-star hotel rating. Golfers and non-golfers alike can enjoy the resort and its wonderful amenities. There are three restaurants to choose from, as well as a wellness spa, outdoor pool with an open-air pool deck overlooking the golf course, and championship golf at your doorstep. Practice Facilities
The golf practice facilities at The Montgomerie Club are fantastic. The full-length floodlit driving range operates from 6am to 9pm daily with targeted greens to aim at against the skyline backdrop of Dubai’s skyscrapers. There is a par-3 course that is also floodlit and operated by Troon’s academy at The Montgomerie. There are putting greens and chipping areas to perfect your swing before your round, and tuition to better your skills quickly.
