The Grafton, Dublin
A stylish art deco retreat in the heart of Dublin city, The Grafton Hotel sits steps from Grafton Street, Trinity College, and St StephenтАЩs Green тАФ placing guests at the centre of everything the Irish capital has to offer. With 128 well-appointed rooms, a buzzing bar and restaurant, and warm, attentive service, it strikes the perfect balance between character and comfort. The hotelтАЩs creative quarter surroundings put some of DublinтАЩs best dining, culture, and nightlife right at the door. It is the ideal base to settle in, explore the city at your own pace, and begin the tour in great style.
Slieve Donard Resort, County Down
One of IrelandтАЩs great landmark hotels, the Slieve Donard has commanded the County Down coastline since 1898. Built originally as a Victorian railway hotel, its striking red-brick fa├зade sits at the foot of the Mourne Mountains, bordered by golden beach and the boundary wall of Royal County Down Golf Club тАФ arguably the worldтАЩs finest links. Following a significant renovation, the resortтАЩs 180 rooms blend Victorian splendour with contemporary comfort, while four dining options champion local produce, game, and seafood. After a round at Royal County Down, there is nowhere finer to return to.
The Marcus Portrush
Located in the heart of Portrush, The Marcus is a smart, contemporary hotel well suited to golfers exploring the north coast. Rooms are modern and practical, offering a comfortable retreat after days on the links. With Portstewart and Castlerock close by, and the townтАЩs restaurants and waterfront within easy walking distance, itтАЩs a convenient and well-positioned base for this stage of the tour.
Rosapenna Hotel & Golf Resort
Set against sweeping Atlantic views in Donegal, Rosapenna Hotel & Golf Resort delivers a classic golf-resort experience in a spectacular setting. Rooms are comfortable and understated, with the focus firmly on golf, scenery, and atmosphere. Staying on site allows easy access to both the Old Tom Morris Links and St PatrickтАЩs Links, with time to enjoy the surroundings between rounds. ItтАЩs a fitting final stop in one of IrelandтАЩs most unspoilt golfing regions.
Royal County Down Golf Club
Regularly ranked among the top courses globally, Royal County Down is a masterpiece of natural links golf set beneath the Mourne Mountains. Blind tee shots, narrow fairways, and some of the finest green complexes in the game create a challenge that is as exacting as it is memorable. The setting is dramatic, the routing ingenious, and the atmosphere unmistakably historic. This is one of those rounds that stays with you long after the final putt.
Portstewart Golf Club – Strand
PortstewartтАЩs Strand Course delivers one of the most striking opening stretches in links golf, with towering dunes and sweeping Atlantic views. The course combines dramatic visuals with strong strategic design, demanding confident driving and a deft short game. As the round progresses, the layout tightens and tests accuracy, offering a varied and thoroughly engaging experience along the Antrim Coast.
Royal Portrush – Dunluce
The Dunluce Course at Royal Portrush is IrelandтАЩs most celebrated links and the only course on the island to have hosted The Open Championship тАФ most recently in 2019 and again in 2025. Established in 1888 and masterfully redesigned by Harry Colt in the 1930s, the course stretches along the dramatic Antrim coastline with views of the ruined Dunluce Castle, the White Rocks cliffs, and the sea beyond. A relentless, wind-swept examination of every shot in links golf, it rewards precision and punishes the careless. Playing Dunluce is not just a round of golf тАФ it is a pilgrimage.
Royal Portrush – Valley
Often overshadowed by its famous neighbour, the Valley Course at Royal Portrush is one of the most underrated links in Ireland. Also designed by Harry Colt as part of his masterful 36-hole plan for the club, the Valley sits tucked between the towering dunes of the Atlantic shore and the higher ground of the Dunluce Course, giving it a more sheltered, intimate feel. Shorter in length but no less demanding, it features subtle, clever design with not a weak hole on the card. For those who look beyond the headline act, the Valley is a revelation.
Sandy Links
Designed by Pat Ruddy and opened in 2003, Sandy Links at Rosapenna has rapidly earned its place among IrelandтАЩs finest modern links courses. Where the Old Tom Morris course settles alongside the dunes, Ruddy took his routing straight through them тАФ the result is a dramatic, relentless examination of links golf set among towering Donegal duneland. Elevated tees, sweeping views across Sheephaven Bay, and deceptively narrow fairways demand precision from the first shot to the last. Fast, contoured greens punish anything but the most committed approach. Ranked in the Irish Top 50, Sandy Links is a modern classic in the making.
St PatrickтАЩs Links
Designed by Tom Doak, St PatrickтАЩs Links is a modern links course that has quickly established itself among IrelandтАЩs very best. Routed through towering dunes with expansive views of Sheephaven Bay, the course blends bold shaping with natural landforms to create a strategic and highly playable layout. Multiple tee options and wide fairways invite creative lines of play, while the greens demand precision. It is a standout contemporary links and a superb finale to the tour.
