    Golf Course Information

Home of the 2017 U.S. Open championship and the 2025 Women’s U.S. Championship, the Erin Hills Golf Course is listed as #9 best public golf course in the United States and #42 best overall by Golf Digest. It plays like a links golf course; its fairways etched through long grasses and an out-back-out routing. Set over rolling terrain, the golf course meanders over hillocks riddled with bunkers that are shaped like something you have never seen before. The course only opened in 2006, but its worth as a PGA Tour destination is represented by the tournaments that have played there and are scheduled to be played in the future.

The course measures 7,174 metres and 7,845 yards from the tips, but you can choose from many tees that can ultimately bring the course to a modest 4,969 metres and 5,434 yards. It has a par of 72, and was designed by Michael Hurdzan, Dana Fry and Ron Whitten. The Erin Hills Golf Course in Wisconsin is truly a bucket-list golf course and must be considered for your Wisconsin golf vacation.

    Resort Dining

    The Irish Pub & Terrace

A very relaxing atmosphere after a long day is found at Erin Hills’ Irish pub. The Resort’s Irish theme is reflected in its diverse collection of beer scotch, whiskey and wine. Gas firepits outside on a large terrace overlooking the 1st hole with TV’s inside to watch sports inside, and premium food & beverages served all-round. Fantastic company is all you need to complete the experience at Erin Hills.

    The Clubhouse

Overlooking the magnificent Erin Hills golf course, the clubhouse has a covered outdoor patio with lounge and table seating, and inside seating, so you can make the most of the seasons. Serving breakfast, lunch and dinner, you will find everything you want and need at the Erin Hills Clubhouse restaurant in a relaxed old-world feel.

    Resort Facilities

    Kettle Loop

Introduced in 2018, the Kettle Loop at Erin Hills is a collection of five golf holes carved from the existing 18. It was designed for short-stay guests who did not have enough time to play a full round, but you can enjoy the loop as a fun late-afternoon golf option. Different tees and little-used tees will make the Kettle Loop feel entirely different than if you played the five holes while playing the entire 18, and it changes a lot between the 18. You are guaranteed to have a good time to settle scores or make bets with your friends or corporate golf group.

    Practice Facility

Erin Hills’ dedication as a resort to the game of golf is absolute. Its practice facilities are extensive, featuring a turf driving range with numerous tees that encircle no less than nine target greens and a short game area that is almost as good as playing the golf course. Two practice fairway bunkers at Erin Hills provide a great opportunity to simulate on-course conditions. The putting green is adjacent to the first tee, providing you with no excuse to avoid breaking out the putter before your round.

    Drumlin Putting Course

Directly in front of the porch of The Erin Hills Clubhouse lies the infamous Drumlin putting course. A state-of-the-art putting area over 60,000 square feet in size. Undulations and ridges that wrap around the landscape make a riveting practice facility at Erin Hills, and it is completely complimentary.

    How to Get There

Erin Hills is located just 45-minutes’ drive from Milwaukee. If you are flying in, we recommend going straight to Milwaukee and transferring by either rental car or group transfer. You can either drive along the 41 highway, before turning onto the 167 and arriving, or you can travel along the 94, before turning at 16, and 83 before you arrive. Driving time is similar between routes. Voyages.golf would be more than happy to assist with your travel requirements.
