Mornington Peninsula Golf Packages
The Mornington Peninsula is an idyllic coastal destination just over 60-minutes’ drive from Melbourne, Victoria. Rolling hills descend into sand dunes the further south you go, and world-class golf courses can be found throughout. Considered by many to be the hidden-gem of Australia’s golf scene, it is rare to get many of the country’s best golf courses packed into a 30-minute radius, and only 60-minutes from the Melbourne Sandbelt region. Combine that with the Peninsula’s famous wine scene, and you’ve got a supreme holiday destination. Ideal for shorter or longer stays, the Mornington Peninsula offers a wide range of budget, mid-range and luxury accommodation. Will you tee up at St Andrews Beach, Moonah Links or The National Golf Club when you visit? Non-golfers will love the numerous beaches, wineries, thermal springs and other options for a fun day out. Try the new Alba Hot Springs or Aurora spa at the Intercontinental for a refreshing treatment. Voyages.golf are based on the Mornington Peninsula so rest assured the experts will handle your Mornington Peninsula Holiday.

When to go
The best time to visit the Mornington Peninsula (and Victoria) is between October to April. These are the summer months in the Southern Hemisphere. The peak tourist season is between mid-December to the end of January, with the shoulder months being October and April. For golfers, be wary of travelling in February as this is the hottest month and temperatures can reach 40 degrees. You can travel to the Mornington Peninsula year-round, as most golf courses have a sandy base with good drainage. You will benefit from cheaper rates during winter months, but you’ll be dealing with strong South-Westerly winds and unpredictable storms. We recommend visiting the Peninsula any time between October – April for the best weather.

The 38-hectare property was once home to one of Australia’s premier horse training facilities and has a 1,200 metre grassed race track that is now utilised as a fruit and vegetable growing area. The horse training facility housed up to 80 thoroughbred horses and produced over 100 Group One winning horses, including multiple Melbourne Cups, Caufield Cup, Cox Plate Golden Slipper winning horses. Their mission these days is simple, making great beer serving delicious food, and providing visitors to the Mornington Peninsula an experience to remember.

Topics covered include a detailed history of gin and an explanation of the distillation process. A touch, smell and taste of some of gin’s finest traditional and native botanicals, with a taste of Bass & Flinders products. Hands on gin blending to create your own gin recipe, a cheese platter, a 500ml bottle of your bespoke gin to take home, plus the added bonus of having your gin recipe kept on file so you can re-order your own gin to enjoy or become one of the most unique gifts you can give.
