Tasmania Golf Cruise 2022 At Capacity

Cape Wickham lighthouse

The inaugural 2022 Tasmania Golf Cruise, departing the Port of Melbourne on the 8th of February 2022, has reached capacity.

The expedition ship ‘Coral Geographer’ completed her maiden voyage in March 2021, and will be just one year old for its first golfing adventure around southern Australia in February 2022. The golf cruise will run between Melbourne and Hobart, with eight nights aboard the 5-star expedition ship, and three nights in Hobart. World-ranked golf courses that we visit include King Island’s Cape Wickham and Ocean Dunes, along with Barnbougle Dunes & The Lost Farm, as well as the Royal Hobart Golf Club and Tasmania Golf Club.

Coral Expeditions has a unique open-bridge policy where if you find the door to the Bridge open, you are allowed to enter and watch the team at work. The Tasmania Golf Cruise is all about blending indulgent luxury with adventure and providing golf lovers & non-golfers with a unique perspective to experience Tasmania’s wonderful outdoors.

The Covid-19 pandemic has wrought havoc on international travel. Our Tasmania Golf Cruise aims to provide a luxury golf trip that one might normally have to travel to the Northern Hemisphere for, from the relative safety of our own backyard. There has been a lot of pent-up demand in the cruise industry and golf travel world alike; this blend of cruising and golf travel meets that demand and we are happy to reach capacity so far ahead of the travel date.

About The Ship, Perfect for a Golf Cruise

The Coral Geographer is a smaller expedition ship than the classic gigantic cruise liners. The shallow draft allows the ship to navigate shallow waters and access previously unreachable destinations. Brand-new technology, coupled with areas designed to enjoy a wide range of features during each voyage add to the luxury. Small features such as an open galley, two bars, wide hallways and well-appointed cabins eschew a simple luxury that does not detract from the adventure all voyagers embark for. Lectures are given in the Bridge Deck Lounge with all the bells & whistles to educate you about local flora and fauna during your land excursions. Coral Expeditions places an emphasis on a few key aspects that set them apart from other cruise lines: intimacy with passengers and its Australian crew, demonstrations of local wine & gastronomy, lectures showcasing local culture and ecology, and of course a sense of adventure that comes from purpose-built expedition ships. Add these fine qualities to an itinerary littered with Australia’s best golf courses, and you have a one-of-a-kind golfing expedition.
