It opened in 2012 and features spectacular views of the Pacific Ocean and serene Bandon surrounds. The course provides a perfect opportunity to play after a round on Bandon Dunes Resort’s 18-hole courses that consist of Bandon Dunes, Pacific Dunes, Bandon Trails, Old Macdonald and The Sheep Ranch.

Golf Course Information

A unique experience in every way, Bandon Preserve is a 13-hole par-3 course that delivers a level of enjoyment matched only by the spectacular views. Opened in 2012 and designed by Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw, Bandon Preserve begins high atop a sand dune and rolls down toward the beach. The Pacific Ocean provides the backdrop to every hole. All net proceeds go directly to the Wild Rivers Coast Alliance, an organization that supports conservation, community, and economy on the southern Oregon Coast.

There are two sets of tees to use at every hole, which allows for the par-3 holes to be played by golfers of every level. It is the perfect course for those who arrive to Bandon Dunes too late for a full 18-hole round, or those who can’t play 36-holes in a day, or 54-holes in a day. Or groups who have to leave by a certain time and can’t fit in an 18-hole round, simply play the Preserve. It is a fantastic answer to normal 18-hole, 6km golf. Most of its holes feature stunning views in dramatic scenes that surprise new players with their signature-feel. It seems as though Coore and Crenshaw picked 13 signature holes from around the world and implanted them into the Preserve’s ground – It is a delightful course to play and certainly an adventure for all.

“Scampering over dunes to half-hidden greens, playing make-believe recovery shots and putting over some occasionally outrageous contours, we feel like kids again at the Preserve.”  – Golf Digest

Venue Information

The Punchbowl

The newest addition to the Bandon Dunes family, The Punchbowl is a 100,000-square-foot putting course designed by Tom Doak, with Jim Urbina. No tee-times are required, all you need to do is show up and put your golf ball in the queue; it is open by 14.00 & closes at dusk, night use is prohibited. It s also complimentary for resort guests. It features 18 holes’ lengths differ from day to day, some are short, and some are long. The area is a collection of natural hollows. Punchbowl is a longstanding design concept by golf architects. The 18th hole at Old Macdonald shares the same principles and is aptly named “Punchbowl.”
