Set in an old manor estate in East Cork, The Castlemartyr Golf Resort is an 18 hole, 6,728 yd, Par 72, inland links style course. It is the creation of renowned golf course designer Ron Kirby, whose credentials were honed on such Irish masterpieces as Dromoland Castle, the Old Head, and Mount Juliet, as well as Gleneagles in Scotland. In Castlemartyr Mr. Kirby has developed an inland links style course that creates a visually pleasing yet testing experience. The course is designed to be challenging and pleasurable for players of any calibre. Castlemartyr Golf Club provides first class service across all aspects of the golf spectrum, from the course, to the Clubhouse and Pro Shop.

These are comfortable rooms which are beautifully designed and furnished in a contemporary style. They offer the guest attractive views over the garden or the golf course. Each room has a very sizeable dressing area and plenty of storage space. They also have several deluxe double rooms with twin beds. The bathrooms are very spacious and have separate rain-forest shower, with full bath, marbled topped double vanity and separate toilet.
The Bell Tower
Situated in the Manor House, The Bell Tower Restaurant offers a dining experience you will not forget. The restaurant is relaxed and elegant and overlooks the formal gardens. It offers the very best of modern Irish cuisine always using the finest local and seasonal produce. A selection of vegetarian options and low-calorie dishes are available. Breakfast is served daily in The Bell Tower. In the evening, the restaurant offers an extensive menu, with a carefully chosen wine list. All food is prepared by Head Chef Kevin Burke and his team and we are very proud of the fact that every meal served comes from the one kitchen at the hotel, be it a tasting menu, room service or our ever-popular Afternoon Tea.
Franchini’s
Franchini’s, the new casual dining Italian experience here at the Resort. From creative Italian pizzas to traditional pasta & risotto dishes, Franchini’s offers an extensive exciting menu, along with a warm, ambient atmosphere for all to enjoy. Located in the heart of the Resort, the room overlooks the extensive gardens and is complimented with natural wooden floors and warm aubergine tones. All providing the ideal backdrop with al-fresco dining out on the terrace.
Knight’s Bar
The Knight’s Bar is elegant, relaxing and enjoys great views of the ornate gardens. It is the ideal choice for a lighter or more informal meal. A lounge menu is available all day and features a wide range of freshly prepared food, along with tea, coffee and drinks. In the evenings, the bar provides a warm and intimate atmosphere in which to enjoy a pre or post restaurant dinner beverage. The Knight’s bar offers a wide range of drinks to suit all tastes be it whiskeys, fine wines, cocktails and much more. When the weather is fine you can take pleasure in the terrace with picturesque views over the croquet lawn and Gardens and enjoy a light lunch or afternoon tea.
The Club House
The Clubhouse situated in the Golf Club has a wonderful panoramic view of the course providing a light, airy and contemporary environment to relax & dine in. You can enjoy a simple and satisfying bite to eat where delectable menus are tailored towards more informal dining. The Club House offers dining 7 days a week.
The Spa at Castlemartyr

The Castlemartyr Resort is conveniently located just 30-minutes-drive from the township of Cork. The Resort also offers transfers from the town or Cork airport, just a few minutes further south than the town. We recommend flying into Cork from Dublin, Belfast or London and either renting a car or booking a transfer to the Castlemartyr Golf Resort. Its ease-of-access makes it a great start or finishing point for an Irish golf holiday.
