The hotel is housed in an impressive Manor House once owned by Lord Dunraven. It was built in the 1830’s with a number of curious eccentricities, including a turreted entrance tower at one corner of the building rather than in the centre, 52 chimneys (one to commemorate each week of the year). 75 fireplaces and 365 leaded glass windows (one for each day of the year). The Manor House features 62 elegantly decorated bedrooms and the fine dining Oakroom restaurant. Facilities include an indoor swimming pool, fitness centre. Practice Facility
A large chipping area offers an entertaining and enlightening short game practice experience. Hit Titleist Pro V1 balls from large practice tees to real greens with bunkers and approach fairways. You will have a chance to hit every club in the bag and hone your skills in a real shot-making experience. The greenside practice area allows you to take some bunker shots into the practice bunker featuring the best Scottish bunker sand. Beautiful views of the course and manor gardens from the Pure Distinction bent grass putting green make working on your putting stroke a real pleasure.
Caddies
It is a prerequisite for all golfers at The Golf Course at Adare Manor to utilise the services of the elite caddie programme in order to ensure a flawless experience out on the course. The caddie will guide their player around the course, freeing guests to focus on enjoying their game. In order to provide the ultimate individual service, they do not offer a double-bag caddie facility, but a forecaddie is available between two golfers using a drive cart.
Classic Rooms

With an expansive 55 square-metres, the Stateroom invites stretching out and revelling in the grandeur of your surroundings. Manor Lodges
Those with a taste for independence will appreciate the beautifully designed and furnished two and four-bedroom Manor Lodges which are a cosy alternative to the stately castle. Located immediately adjacent to The Carriage House, our resort dining destination and social hub, and a three-minute walk from the Manor House. These self-catering houses can accommodate up to four people in a two-bedroom Lodge and up to eight people in a four-bedroom Lodge. Each Manor Lodge has its own private entrance, air conditioning throughout and each bedroom is ensuite. Guests will also find a fully equipped kitchen and dining room, a cosy and comfortable living room. The golf course is a stone’s throw away, with the pro shop and locker rooms conveniently situated in The Carriage House courtyard and both the driving range and putting green on either side.

Rose & Lavender Cottages
Adare Manor also offers two 3-bedroom storybook cottages on a self-catering basis. Perfectly situated right next to The Carriage House and only a three-minute walk from the Manor House, these two historic buildings are full of charm and character. Each cottage has been luxury finished and fitted, with the kinds of finishing touches you expect from Adare Manor. You will find marble-floored bathrooms, cloud-soft goose down bed clothes (with foam alternatives available on request), and exactly the same linens, towels, and exclusive Aqua di Parma bathroom amenities as the hotel.
While the cottages are a peaceful retreat, staying connected with the outside world is also made easy with Wi-Fi, phones, and satellite TV in the living room and each bedroom. The fully-fitted kitchens make it simple to cook, even for a crowd, with fridge, freezer, cooker, microwave and Nespresso coffee machine at your disposal. The Oak Room
The gracious splendour of The Oak Room sets the scene for Adare Manor’s fine-dining experience. Providing a genuine taste of the best that contemporary Irish cuisine has to offer, The Oak Room restaurant invites guests to explore the culinary treasures of Ireland. Exquisite seafood, sustainably farmed meats and game, the bright flavours of freshly-picked vegetables and some special touches foraged from the grounds of Adare Manor itself will take guests on a journey through the distinctive terroirs of Ireland. An extensive and adventurous wine-list, curated by Resort Wine & Spirits Manager Jurica Gojevic, offers thoughtful pairings to perfectly complement each dish. The Oak Room was the original family dining room, host to countless intimate family meals and glittering dinner parties throughout its long history. The distinguished oak-panelled room has been lovingly restored and extended to encompass a glorious stone colonnade. When the sun has set, it is a magical setting for dinner by the soft glow of candlelight.
The Drawing Room
Overlooking the formal gardens, flooded with natural daylight, radiating warmth and exquisite style, The Drawing Room is the ideal spot for a tranquil interlude. From 8am guests can take their morning coffee by the vast windows, drop in for light meals and refreshments until 5pm, and sip a flute of champagne beneath the ornate gilded ceiling at any time of day. The dress code is semi-casual in the daytime, transitioning to smart casual in the evening, when The Drawing Room provides a graceful setting for cocktails and sparkling conversations. The vibrant flavours of fresh Irish produce shine through The Drawing Room’s menu. Exciting ingredients from artisan suppliers such as Duncannon smoked salmon and Toons Bridge baby mozzarella elevate the selection of delicate salads and elegant sandwiches.
The Tack Room
A sophisticated retreat for lovers of fine spirits and companionable conversation, The Tack Room is a haven of welcome and warmth. Delicious food, great company and a legendary collection of the world’s finest libations come together to create an extraordinary atmosphere. A drink by the fireside or at the timeless green marble bar is the perfect end to an evening at Adare Manor, although when the drinks and conversations are flowing, a visit to The Tack Room can easily stretch into the wee small hours. It has an extensive beverage list of cocktails, whiskeys, craft beers and wine. The Tack Room serves an exceptional menu of tempting light bites, served from 5pm until 9pm. Every item has been carefully crafted for savouring and sharing. Artisan cheeses and charcuterie and elevated versions of favourites such as beef sliders and chicken skewers offer an elegant accompaniment to the most sophisticated drinks.
The Carriage House
The Carriage House Restaurant experience centres around exceptional food and impeccable service in a stylishly relaxed atmosphere. Locally farmed produce, fresh seafood, and Irish dry-aged beef take centre stage in exquisitely prepared dishes designed to delight. The dinner menu shines a spotlight on hearty favourites elegantly prepared: Connemara lamb, Atlantic lobster, and some of the best prime cuts of beef in the world are grilled to order on a specifically designed char grill, using real charcoal from sustainable sources. The restaurant is a smart and polished room, with nods to art deco chic. Metal inlays and dark oak stains distinguish the furnishings and gold-leaf mirror wall panels enhance the air of discreet opulence. Breccia Violetta marble is used throughout the space.
Afternoon Tea
Afternoon Tea in The Gallery at Adare Manor is an experience to savour. Executive Pastry Chef Xavier Torne has created a jewel-box menu of sweet treats paired with an extensive selection of first-flush and specially blended teas from around the world, including Adare’s signature blend, 1832. Dainty cut sandwiches, perfectly crafted miniature pastries and warm scones served with clotted cream and daily-made lemon curd; this afternoon tea is an indulgence to dream about long after your visit.
Fitness Centre
Located in the peaceful sanctuary of The Spa at Adare Manor, the fully-equipped fitness centre and swimming pool is open daily. Guests can utilise a cross-trainer, treadmills, exercise bikes & wattbikes, a rowing machine, weight benches and free weights, and a multi-training weight station with core/leg extensions, press/overhead press, and high/low pulleys.
Pool
The heated indoor swimming pool measuring 8 metres long, 5 metres wide and 1.2 metres deep and is surrounded by a spacious relaxation area with comfortable loungers, sauna and shower. Natural light streams through the vaulted skylight and the floor-to-ceiling windows, with beautiful views over the River Maigue and golf course. The soothing sound of water pouring over the weir just outside the windows creates the perfect ambiance for a relaxing swim.
Fishing on the River Maigue
The picturesque River Maigue flowing through the estate is a centrepiece of Adare Manor’s gorgeous setting. It is also home to healthy populations of trout and even salmon in season, and the stretch of river running through the grounds is reserved for the exclusive use of guests. Whether you have never cast a line or are an experienced angler, there is adventure to be had by the waterside. The noble art of fly fishing has been mastered by Adare’s expert ghillie, who would be happy to share his expertise. For those looking for a more relaxed affair, why not step aboard the Galway-made boat, crafted over three years by hand with larch and oak. Row out on Adare Manor’s private lake, spending an afternoon in the company of their ghillie in search of a fish or two!
Falconry
Adare Manor allows guests to get up close and personal with the world’s most majestic birds of prey. The professional resident falconers will introduce you to a selection of eight raptors. During your falconry experience, you will meet several owls from their aviary, it could be any combination drawn from the following; ‘Tiny’ the Scops Owl, ‘Olaf’ the Snowy Owl, ‘Oscar’ the Eurasian eagle Owl, ‘Willow’ the Bengal Eagle Owl, ‘Che’ the Mexican Striped Owl, ‘Noddy’ the Dark Breasted Barn Owl, or ‘Orlan’ the Common Barn Owl. You will also meet one of the Falcons, generally recognised as the fastest animals on the planet, and at least one Harris Hawk, which will fly free to your gloved hand. They always endeavour to free fly at least two birds during your display, with the Harris Hawk and potentially one of the Owls, or alternatively one of the Eagles or Falcons.
Archery
 Both a gratifying recreational activity and a thrilling competitive sport, archery has something to offer the novice and the adventurous expert. Shooting a modern-style recurve bow is truly invigorating, and the medieval-style longbow, made to all traditional standards, offers a true test of skill and strength. Every session is carefully tailored to the ability of the participants.
Cycling through Irish Countryside
Follow your heart’s desire with a leisurely cycle in the lush Limerick countryside. A bike ride is always a fun time for all the family to enjoy. The beautiful traditional Pashley Bikes are hand-built specifically for Adare Manor by a team of skilled craftsmen. Originated in 1926, Pashley Bikes have been making these timeless bicycles for generations. The wonderful design has stood the test of time, giving these bikes an inimitable elegance.

Gun Dog Experience
In the days when Adare Manor was a private country estate, shooting season was one of the most important social events of the year. The game keeper would have kept a pack of highly trained gun dogs to assist in finding and retrieving game. Adare’s trainer will demonstrate their important role with the most beautiful and eloquently trained Irish Labradors. In this charming activity you will get the opportunity to see Labradors at all the varied levels of training, incorporating obedience, agility, marking, water work and ability to work as part of a team of trained dogs. You will also learn how to handle these wonderful dogs yourself. This is an inspiring look at the communication and collaboration possible between humans and dogs.

Clay Pidgeon Shooting
Clay pigeon shooting is a sport that quickens your pulse, sharpens your eye, and rewards a cool head. Not far from the Gamekeeper’s Cottage on the Adare Manor estate, you can experience the excitement of shooting a rapidly moving target out of the sky. The first-class clay pigeon shooting range features 14 Laport clay traps, and they provide 12-gauge Browning Shotguns for your use, always under the watchful eye of Adare Manor’s instructors. One-to-one instruction ensures that safety always comes first. It also means you will find your aim improving faster than you thought possible!

Equestrian facilities are available to guests just a 15-minute drive from Adare Manor. The brilliant team at the Clonshire Equestrian Centre provide the following lessons and cross-country rides for anyone who would like to experience the Irish countryside from horseback. Adare Manor offers beginner’s arena lessons, arena lessons, gentle hack experiences trekking over roads and tracks, or cross-country instructional rides.
Historical Tours
Step back in time and get lost in the history of Adare Manor through self-guided architecture and garden tour of the Manor House and Manor Museum. With versions for both adults and children, these audio guides offer a captivating journey through the years to a time when the Earls of Dunraven and their families lived a gracious life in this magnificent home. Adare Manor, though it is set in expansive tranquil surrounds, lies just a short 15-minute drive from the town of Limerick in the South West of Ireland. It is the perfect place to stop off during a journey of the Wild Atlantic Way, or by starting a trip of Southern Ireland. If driving or getting a transfer directly from an airport, the closes airport is Shannon Airport which is 40-minutes’ drive away, and Cork Airport is 75-minutes away. The town of Waterford is 120-minutes away, whilst Dublin City direct-drive is 2.5 hours away.
