    Golf Course Information

    Hapuna Golf Course

Set amongst a dark lava field, the Hapuna Beach Golf Course features stunning panoramic views of the seemingly endless Pacific Ocean and Big Island coastline. Elevation changes occur from sea level to a dramatic 700 feet, which is why we recommend getting a golf cart for your round. Nestled into a rugged desert geography, Hapuna Golf Course has a ‘links’ style that has been a beacon in Hawaii’s golfing world since its conception in 1992. Measuring 6,900 Yards / 6,309 Metres, the golf course offers views of the Pacific from every one of its eighteen holes, a feat that not many golf courses get the honour of boasting.

The course is an intriguing mix of links and resort, often a combination that are never associated together. The resort-style features of the course are numerous water features, dense foliage acting as a backdrop to many of the holes and palm trees that feature on the course. The elements of links golf seen at Hapuna Beach Golf Course is mainly fescue grass that lines the fairways and greensides. Many holes have undulating fairways leading to elevated greens with fescue-grass runoffs that creates a links-like feel. Overall it is a playable course for every kind of golfer and with various tee-box settings, it is up to you how much you want to challenge yourself.
