The stunning Vinpearl Haiphong golf course was designed by IMG Prestige, and resides on the eastern side of the North Vietnamese city of Haiphong, about 90 minutes from the famous Ha Long Bay and the FLC Ha Long Bay Golf Course. The complex has two 18-hole golf courses named the Marshland and Lakeside courses. The golf course is just 60 minutes from Vietnam’s Hanoi capital and makes for an easy day trip from the city. Offering two very distinct golf experiences Vinpearl Haiphong is a well-rounded destination that includes excellent practice facilities, onsite accommodation and an internationally-acclaimed eco-tourism complex.
Lakeside Course
The Lakeside Golf Course at Vinpearl Haiphong has a par of 72 and features a unique layout that runs through a series of interconnected lakes. Water is the main feature and comes into play on no less than 12 holes. The golf course is relatively long; both fairways and greens are generous with space and facilitate golfers with different distance capabilities, although water is constantly in one’s mind throughout the 18 holes. The Lakeside Golf Course plays more like a Florida course such as any of the five PGA National golf courses at Palm Beach, and more like a tournament golf course.
Marshland Course
The par-72 Marshland Golf Course captures the stunning beauty of its surrounds throughout its 18-holes. The golf course is situated on Vu Yen Island and incorporates natural marshland into its design. The golf course offers more challenges in the form of trees and other fairway-side obstacles, but it has a fair risk-reward ratio that is easier to navigate than the Lakeside Course’ abundant water hazards. Strategically placed bunkers make great rewards for the ‘shot-makers’ on the Marshland course, and its diverse ecosystem makes for an enjoyable golfing experience.
Clubhouse
The Vinpearl Haiphong Clubhouse features a luxury restaurant whose menu features a wide range of Asian and western cuisine. It is open from dawn until 10PM daily. Other features of the Vinpearl clubhouse include a well-stocked pro shop that features mature brands such as Titleist and Foot-joy, as well as Vinpearl’s own-branded merchandise for mementos. Other amenities in the Vinpearl Haiphong clubhouse include a locker room with showers with changing areas with luxurious features.
Practice Facilities
Vinpearl Haiphong has extensive golf practise facilities that include a 300-yard driving range, as well as two large practice greens with full-sized bunkers and multiple putting holes to warm up. The Vinpearl Golf Academy improves golf fitness as well as ability.
