The Ocean Course, composed of the two original 9-hole golf courses designed by Sir Henry Cotton, features gently undulating fairways which run alongside nature reserve before leading gently down to the shores of the Atlantic. Its symbollic holes are two challenging and spectacular Par-4s, the 11th and the 14th, and the Par-3 15th which runs alongside the beach. Clubhouse
Located in the heart of the resort, the Cubhouse at Vale do Lobo offers a contemporary layout with a very friendly reception all-year-round. The Clubhouse is the home of Spike’s Restaurant and Bar whose terrace overlooks a pretty garden, making it an environment that both golfers and non-golfers can enjoy from breakfast to evenings. Spike’s Restaurant offers fantastic food whilst also making conscious healthy-eating easy with appetising salads, fresh vegetable soups and grilled meats with vegetables and a full plethora of European cuisines. Also located in the Clubhouse is a branch of Nevada Bob’s and the fully-equipped Fitness Centre with a physiotherapist specialising in golf injuries.
Golf Academy & Practice Facilities
The Vale do Lobo Golf Academy has two distinct areas:
· A netted area for the instruction of beginner golfers which is used as a warming up area for golfers.
· The second area is a short game practice grassed area with bunkers, which is used by golfers to warm up before the game and as an instruction area used by the Vale do Lobo Golf Professionals.
The Golf Academy also incorporates a challenging putting green next to the Clubhouse, the perfect place for warm up or simply to relax after a round. They have a Golf Professional full-time who can assist with any lessons ranging from 30 minutes to 1 hour.
