The course is open for public play and has been voted by Golf Digest in the тАШTop 100 Public Golf Courses,тАЩ and it is considered in GolfWeekтАЩs тАШBest Courses You Can Play.тАЩ Only 20-minutes from New Orleans, TPC Louisiana is a must-play for anyone visiting the state. Combining TPC Louisiana with New OrleansтАЩ Baton Rouge and Bourbon Street all in one day is too good to pass by. Other TPC golf courses include Sawgrass and Scottsdale. We recommend starting your golf trip in New Orleans and TPC Louisiana, before travelling north-east along the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail with other golf courses including Lakewood Golf Club, Capitol Hill, Silver Lakes and Grand National Links.
Stretching over 250 acres of wetlands along the Mississippi River Delta, the championship course is maintained to the highest golf course conditions year-round. Its trees consist of cypress and oak trees whilst Dye added plenty of water hazards and bunkers to make an incredibly exhilarating game. The golf course is part of the Audubon Golf Trail (a selection of 18 Louisiana courses designed by Arnold Palmer, David Toms and Pete Dye). The course is relatively flat, lying on a delta region, but it includes over 100 bunkers as well as five ponds which come into play.
Despite TPC Louisiana being a championship golf course, there are five sets of tees to choose from, ranging from 5,121 yards to 7,400 yards from the tips. The course is accessible to every calibre of golfer and that is why it is ranked as one of the best public golf courses in the world. The signature hole is the par-5 eighteenth where water is in play for the entire right side of the hole, making a challenging finish for golfers of all skill levels. Overall the TPC Louisiana golf course is worth every avid golferтАЩs time and one will never be disappointed at the level of quality found in the course conditions.
A 24,000-square-foot Clubhouse at TPC Louisiana is the soul of the golf facility and provides PGA Tour standards for all visiting golfers.
