Jack’s Point features on our Marquee Course and Queenstown travel packages, but it can be enjoyed as part of your golf holiday with other local courses such as Arrowtown, The Hills and Cromwell Golf Club. Jack’s Point is a name engraved in the international golf community as a golf destination of renown and integrity. Jacks Point Golf Course is host to Queenstown Golf Week in 2024; a week of fun for amateur golfers.
With a backdrop of 2300 vertical metres of the Remarkables mountain range and an armchair view of an outstanding lake panoramas, Jack’s Point Golf course is one of the most visually spectacular you will ever play. It is a private course but welcomes with open arms travelling golfers from around the World. The course has been designed around the natural landscape, with minimal excavation. Designed in harmony with the natural environment, the course weaves through native tussock grasslands, dramatic rock outcrops, steep bluffs and swathes of native bush to the edge of Lake Wakatipu.
The presentation of the course is second to none, which means that if you’re having a bad round, simply look around, the landscape has the power to make any round good, regardless of the scorecard. Right from the moment you drive into the estate, you get an impending feeling of something surreal, an other-worldly feeling that a special experience is about to take place. This feeling is transferred to the clubhouse that is rustic, charming, beautifully furnished and welcoming all at once. The course opened in 2008 and features fescue grass everywhere you look, whilst lake Wakatipu rests at the bottom of razorback mountains that is simply incomparable to anywhere else in the world. Even if you don’t play golf, Jack’s Point is a golf course that needs to be experienced if only for the scenery.
Jack’s Point has an architecturally designed masterpiece of a clubhouse that has everything you need for a wonderful round of golf, including locker rooms, a golf shop and food & beverages served throughout the day. There is a full-length practice range available to every golfer with a green fee that day, and also includes short game facilities and a putting green, with Titleist complimentary range balls. With regards to rentals, clubs are renewed every two years and the current sets are PING G; G400; I200 and Rhapsody, available for men and women.
