The Indooroopilly Golf Club is a member’s club that welcomes visitors six days a week. There are 36 holes of golf with six different combinations so that golfers can play a different 18-hole route up to six times. Located on a tranquil part of the Brisbane river, the Golf Club is situated within a lush parkland setting. The Golf Club is a short 15-minute drive from Brisbane’s CBD; it is an ideal golf course to experience when visiting the city. It is almost next door to Brisbane Golf Club, and 10-minutes from Brookwater Golf & Country Club. We recommend starting your Brisbane golf holiday with a round at Indooroopilly before finishing the trip on a different circuit to get the full golf experience.
A torrent of rain falls at Indooroopilly Golf Club, especially in the summer wet season from December to February. The best time to play Indooroopilly is in the winter dry season in the middle of the year when the course is lush and the temperature not too humid. The Golf Club is open year-round with warm weather throughout; carts are recommended through the summer months. The golf course has four nine-hole courses each colour coded so the 18-hole route you play may be a different colour combination each day. The six-fold combination allows for a very different experience which never tires golfers visiting Indooroopilly.
The East and West course are the Clubs’ traditional 18-hole route. The excellent location bordering Brisbane River brings water into play on many holes. The natural layout of the land fixates the holes to meandering fairways framed by lush native bushland and waterways. Irrigation is never a problem at Indooroopilly or any Brisbane golf club; players will find an abundance of birds flying or singing on the course. A day out on any nine at the Golf Club is considered time well-spent with nature; just remember to bring spare golf balls.
The practise facilities at Indooroopilly Golf Club are immense. A full-length driving range and putting greens are located adjacent to the clubhouse.
