Located near the sea in County Sligo, Ireland, Enniscrone Golf Club was founded in 1918, redesigned by Eddie Hackett in 1974 and again by Donald Steel in 2001. Traditional Irish seaside links golf courses use the natural terrain to their advantage, with prevailing sea breezes wreaking havoc if your ball flies above the height of the sand dunes. The ideal golf game is played low at Enniscrone, with bump and runs, pin-point precision and a ball kept in play being the three key pillars of a happy scorecard. The restaurant has a surprisingly wide range of food made with local ingredients that must not be missed during your visit.
The Pro Shop is located in the clubhouse and comes well-stocked with all the essentials for your round, plus Enniscrone-branded apparel and accessories for you to take home as a souvenir. The practice facilities consist of a short game area and putting green. As with many Irish links golf clubs, driving ranges are redundant because big shots are not a key part of the game in Irish links golf.
