The championship par-72 golf course at Brookwater is set on lush bushland south-west of Queensland’s capital Brisbane. Queensland’s own Greg Norman, known as ‘The Shark,’ designed Brookwater’s golf course. Norman’s design philosophy reflects the natural lay of the land in all his golf courses. His design at Brookwater golf club carves fairways from dense bushland, so there are backdrops of towering native trees throughout the 18-hole route.
Norman includes the area’s natural waterways and signature bunkering with many tee-to-fairway wastelands and greenside bunkers. The fairways meander through native forests with many nuanced doglegs that demand precision from the tees. The golf course contrasts heavily with the nearby Royal Queensland Golf Club with its enclosed holes and elevation changes. The practice facilities for golfers at Brookwater Golf Club are world-class. The driving range is open every day with 12 public and 10 member hitting bays.
