Ba Na Hills Golf Club features 18 holes at the foot of a towering mountain range less than 30 minutes’ drive from Danang, Vietnam’s fourth largest city. Set amongst one of the most impressive mountain ranges in the region, the multi award winning Championship golf course provides a balance of challenge, enjoyment and excitement to golfers of all levels and abilities. Voted World’s Best New Course in 2016 upon opening, followed by the awards for Asia’s & Vietnams Best Golf Course in 2017 & 2018. The entire course is floodlit from the first tee until the 18th green, allowing patrons the unique experience of playing golf after dark. Nearby golf attractions consist of Montgomerie Links, Hoiana Shores, BRG Da Nang and Laguna Lang Co.
The Luke Donald designed course in conjunction with IMG — will play away from the coastline, at elevation, in a cooler setting typically void of wind. Stretching over 7,132 metres / 7,800 yards from the championship tees — making it the longest layout in Vietnam — and comprising a non-stop succession of undulating greens. Every hole and vantage point are framed by a beautiful backdrop of local native forest. The entire course is floodlit from the first tee until the 18th green, allowing patrons the unique experience of playing golf after dark.
Set in a series of several valleys, the course winds between the forest so that the views you get on an elevated tee might differ completely a few holes later; the result is a peaceful meandering of holes through lush vegetation that really takes your breath away. The front nine holes form a traditional parkland course surrounded by pine forests. The back nine play along and up-and-down the surrounding hills with many blind shots and doglegs; needless to say, these holes are the more dramatic and challenging ones. Bunkering at Ba Na Hills is unique with long grass around the edges and face of each hazard. The sand is only partly visible from the tees and fairway approach shots. The greens are angled from the fairways and only slightly undulated. There is a good variety of pin positions and approach shots.
The Restaurant
In addition to an unforgettable golf experience, stop by the clubhouse restaurant and take in the 180-degree panoramic views of the golf course whilst dining on a selection of local and international delicacies. The food features a nice amount of variety, with Western, Korean and Vietnamese cuisine on offer, as well as an extensive wine list. If the air conditioned indoors is not for you then why not try The Terrace, an outdoor seated area a short pitch away from the 18th green where you can relax in comfort whilst watching your playing partners finish their round. Alternatively, if a more secluded feel is what you seek, then the private dining rooms will be just right for you. Two spacious rooms that can seat up to 25 people with additional casual seating and private terrace. Food & Beverage is also available in abundance on the golf course. Kiosks on hole 4 & 15 are the best in town with air conditioning and even free Wi-Fi available, it is the perfect place to cool off and recharge for a few minutes whilst enjoying a snack and refreshing beverage.
Night Golf
The only comprehensive floodlit golf course in Da Nang, all 18 holes at Ba Na Hills Golf Club are lit, offering you the opportunity to enjoy a round of golf in the evening or as the sun sets spectacularly over the surrounding mountains. The ideal setting for the front 9 as dusk settles over the mountain range and then the spectacular back 9 after darkness arrives in a fully floodlit environment. The course is lit until 9pm on selected days. If there’s one thing you should do, it is to play golf after the sun has set, the silence and tranquillity is surreal.
Pro Shop
Ba Na Hills Pro Shop boasts a variety of high quality apparel, clubs and golf accessories from international brands such as Puma, Titleist, Footjoy and Corbra. Their team of PGA Professionals are certified Titleist Club Fitters and on hand every day to offer a personalized custom fit for your new set of golf clubs. A grand selection of Titleist and Cobra golf clubs are available for hire from the pro shop, with a variety of specifications to suit golfers of every level.
Locker Room
Designed in a modern and cosy style, Ba Na Hills Golf Club Locker Rooms feature 220 lockers for male golfers and 60 for female golfers, restrooms, individual showers, shoe cleaning and laundry service. Both the men’s and women’s locker rooms are fully staffed and attentive to golfer’s needs.
