The Château des Vigiers Golf & Country Club is located just 90-minutes east of Bordeaux through rolling wineries and tranquil countryside, in the Dordogne region of South-West France. The Hotel is modern and comfortable, but the best part is that its architectural concept is based on the traditional tobacco-drying barn typical of the Dordogne region of France. Château des Vigiers has a fantastic 27-hole golf course that opened in 1992 and designed by Donald Steele, considered to be one of the best ‘natural’ golf course architects. We recommend experiencing Chateau des Vigiers along with a weekend trip to Golf du Medoc Resort near Bordeaux. Apart from surrounding wine country and pleasant climates, the Château des Vigiers is a destination unto itself and a must-do when travelling the South-West of France.

Château des Vigiers forms the centre-piece of a spectacular 27-hole golf course. The course opened in 1992 and was designed by Donald Steel, who is considered one of the very best “natural” golf course architects. Arranged in three 9-hole loops, giving three 18-hole combinations, the golf complex was rated in the top ten courses in South West France and forms the ideal point from which to base a French golf holiday. The course is set in pristine parkland which offers a pleasant round through willow trees, bodies of water and gradual undulating terrain. With 27 holes of golf available, there is no shortage of ways in which you can play 18.
The golf practice facilities at Château des Vigiers consist of 6 covered driving range bays, 24 open driving range bays, 2 pitching short-game greens, 2 training bunkers (green and fairway), 1 chipping/putting green and 1 putting green.
