    Golf Course Information

Golf du Médoc was established in 1989 and offers two world-class golf courses: Les Châteaux and Les Vignes. Ranked among the top 100 best golf courses in Continental Europe, the two courses regularly host International Championships and are known for their technically rich course design.

    The Châteaux Course

Designed by Bill Coore in 1989, The Châteaux Course has a par of 71 and measures 7,192 yards or 6,576 metres. The World Golf Awards recognised the course as France’s Best Golf Course in 2014. The course itself adheres to the purest tradition of Scottish links, with wide fairways bordered by heather, gorse and broom. It is a beautiful course that meanders through unspoiled nature and offers a fantastic test of golfing ability. The greens are designed and maintained to a championship level, which brings the entirety of the Châteaux Course to world-class and world-renowned.

“Lovers of Sunningdale, Swinley Forest and heathland will be seduced by the Châteaux course.” – Bill Coore

    Les Vignes Course

Measuring 6,821 yards and 6,237 metres, Les Vignes Course opened in 1991 and was designed by Rod Whitman of Canada. The course is embedded seamlessly into a landscape that is typical of the region, where the aesthetics of heath, gorse and maritime pines serve to both test the discerning golfer whilst enriching the architect’s design. The long pars punctuated by elaborate greens and judiciously placed obstacles demand a degree of strategy from any player wishing to adhere to a proud scorecard.
