Homepage / Listings / North America / USA / Florida / Streamsong Black Golf Course
Four world-renowned golf course architects. Three internationally-acclaimed links-style courses. A golf experience distinguished as once-in-a-lifetime. Streamsong Blue, Streamsong Red, and Streamsong Black celebrate the legacy of traditional Scottish links. Undulating fairways navigating through wild grasses and deep-water ponds, huge bunkers rolling from towering sand dunes and deep greenside pot bunkers define the unexpected experience of playing golf at Streamsong.
Streamsong Resort is the only location in the world where players can experience three distinct golf courses designed by four legendary architects – Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw, Tom Doak and Gil Hanse. Streamsong Red, Streamsong Blue and Streamsong Black – three of the most highly acclaimed and widely pursued golf courses in the game today. Revered as a bucket-list destination, Streamsong Resort rivals the greatest golf venues in the world.
The newest kid on the block, Streamsong Black opened in September 2017 and involves 11-acres on its putting services alone. The course sits on a separate part of the Streamsong property, and has a few driveable par 4’s, a great range of par 3’s, and modest elevation changes. Water hazards are also kept to a minimum. Wide-open like its siblings, the Streamsong Black has fantastic undulation both on the fairways and greens, as well as wide imposing bunkers. The risk/reward opportunities are manifest; though the fairways are the widest many have ever seen, if you land down some on the wrong side, or get the wrong side of a bunker, the results can be disastrous.
“The scale and shape of this landscape and the creative design features we were able to incorporate into this layout make Streamsong Black a fun and strategic course to play”. – Gil Hanse
Designed by highly acclaimed architect Gil Hanse, Streamsong Black has emerged as a perfect complement to the already-award-winning Red and Blue courses. Hanse, designer of the 2016 Olympic Course in Rio de Janiero, is one of the most talented and entrusted architects in the game, restoring many of America’s most prominent private clubs.
Practice Facilities
The practice facilities at Streamsong are world-class. They feature a two-acre putting course, named the Gauntlet, and a free-flowing 7-hole practice area, as well as a separate practice area outside the Clubhouse with the accommodation.
Clubhouse
After spending the day on Streamsong® Blue and Streamsong® Red, the Clubhouse at Streamsong® is the ultimate 19th hole. Designed by Alberto Alfonso of Alfonso Architects, it features 12 guest rooms, 4,500 square feet of conference space, a golf shop, and an outdoor terrace overlooking a lake and the dramatic golf course terrain. The Clubhouse’s picture-perfect location sits gently in the saddle of the dunes, so instead of dominating, it accentuates the brilliant setting.
The Clubhouse at Streamsong also features the elegant steak and seafood-themed Restaurant Fifty-Nine™. Named after the holy grail of golf—a score that breaks 60 and has only been accomplished four times in the history of the PGA Tour—Restaurant Fifty-Nine offers an array of delicious options for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and has one of the top selections of wine available in Central Florida.
Caddie Services
The believe the best way to experience the game of golf at Streamsong is to walk with a caddie. Caddies come to Streamsong Resort with a range of skills honed at some of the country’s most exclusive private clubs and resorts.
