Located just twenty minutes by car from Dubai’s city centre, the Arabian Ranches Golf Club is one of the United Arab Emirates’ most famous golf destinations. The Championship golf course is managed by Troon Golf and maintained to immaculate standards year-round. Designed by Australian golf icon Ian Baker-Finch in collaboration with Jack Nicklaus, the desert-style links golf course has a par of 72 and reaches over 7,400 yards. The Troon management of Arabian Ranches Golf Club ensures impeccable service, from the clubhouse to the well-nourished fairways. Arabian Ranches is just up the road from Jumeirah Golf Estates Fire & Earth courses, as well as Dubai Hills Golf Club. Capping the experience is a swathe of luxurious facilities that consist of world-class accommodation, floodlit driving range, indoor swing studio, putting green and Par 3 Academy Course.

Golf Course Information

Featuring a desert-style links design that is truly unique for the Dubai area, Arabian Ranches is the first desert-style course in Dubai. Ian Baker-Finch designed Arabian Ranches in association with The Golden Bear Jack Nicklaus, with rolling grass fairways through sand dunes and desert scrub. The golf course opened in 2004 with 247 acres of land. Just a very small amount of earth was moved to make this links golf course; the links design within a rolling topography of dunes creates a course that rolls with the landscape rather than against it. The course has five sets of tees which makes it very accessible to all types of golfers.

The Arabian Ranches Golf Course underwent a five-month renovation in 2019 that saw all greens undergo a makeover to create more of a desert-style landscape with a new USGA-standard rootzone before replanting with Platinum TE paspalum grass. For the less technical golfers out there, the refurbishment established cleaner greens and solidified the ‘desert’ topography that makes Arabian Ranches layout unique to the area.

Accommodation & Clubhouse

Those visiting golfers who don’t want to stay in a beachside high-rise hotel can stay in the Spanish Colonial-designed clubhouse that overlooks Arabian Ranches golf course. There are 11 ensuite rooms in the Clubhouse that offers a private escape from the bustling Dubai city. All rooms feature air conditioning, Spanish style tiles and luxuriously-furbished bedrooms with Wi-Fi throughout. Five rooms have sweeping rooms of the Arabian Ranches golf course.

In the clubhouse, golfers and guests can dine at the Ranches Restaurant or the Nezesaussi Grill. The Ranches Restaurant is the go-to place for relaxed elegance and a comforting meal from breakfast to dinner every day. The Nezesaussi Grill offers good food amongst a ‘sport’ theme with billiard tables, an arcade and multiple TV screens showing events from around the world.

Practice Facilities

Avid golfers can bring friends or partners who are less skilled to Arabian Ranches because of the fantastic facilities. There is a par-3 course utilised by the academy, a full-length floodlit driving range, an indoor golf simulator and swing studio, plus three onsite golf professionals so your loved ones will learn the ropes while you are honing your game on the fairways. In addition, an expansive putting green provides an excellent replication of the on-course greens for you to warm up on before your round.
