    Golf Course Information

    Designed by Graham Cooke & Associates and opened in 1992, the award-winning Platinum rated golf course is superbly manicured and maintained. Playable for golfers at all levels, the course is designed in a resort style with a dynamic set of tees to meet the needs of any guest or member. With 12 lakes, views of the Beaufort mountain range & Comox glacier, and verdant fairways, this Par 72, 18-hole course offers a superb driving range with chipping & putting greens, and practice bunkers.

     

    The course has a total length of 6,423 metres / 7,024 yards from the back tees, with 68 strategically placed bunkers and hundreds of fir trees to add essential challenges to the layout. It’s a course with meticulously well-kept fairways and lush vegetation, with fast greens and fun doglegs. The abundant lakes and tree-lined fairways force a high degree of precision from the tees to the greens. Overall, it’s a very fun course that must be experienced when visiting British Columbia.

    Accommodation

    Hotel Villas

    The Villas at Crown Isle are nestled in the trees along the 1st fairway, a tranquil nature escape just steps from town. They are configured so that they will personally suit groups of any size, from romantic getaways, to family holidays or golfing groups. The Resort has 90 Villa Suites and include balcony or patio access to the fairway, with additional options extending to include suites with Jacuzzi tubs. Some Villas offer full kitchens, living rooms with TV’s as well as gas fireplaces. With spectacular views of the first fairway and the coastal mountain range, the Villas provide an opportunity to stay on-site for golf at Crown Isle.

    Resort Dining

    The Timber Room Bar & Grill

    The Timber Room offers a gastro-pub menu that has it all, from steaks to salmon, teriyaki bowls to tacos, burgers, ribs and more. The ambience is highly social, full of logging memorabilia, live sports on multiple screens, great music playing in the background and a cosy fireplace area. When the weather warms up, the Comox Valley’s largest and most scenic patio overlooking the 18th green welcomes everyone.

     

    The Atrium

    The Atrium offers fine dining in a spectacular newly renovated setting overlooking the 18th green and Comox Glacier. Enjoy a pop-up restaurant experience with a fresh menu and theme that will change completely each season. The Atrium is open for dinner service Wednesday to Saturday, year-round.

    Resort Facilities

    Golf Academy

    The Crown Isle Resort has many different approaches to learning and instruction. They have PGA Canadian professionals who offer learn to play programs, summer camps, private, semi-private and group lessons, on-course lessons, as well as custom fitting with Titleist equipment. The components of their teaching include equipment inspection, evaluation of physical abilities, strategy, fundamental golf mechanics, and golf IQ.

     

    Pro Shop

    Located in the Resort Clubhouse, the Pro Shop offers a wide selection of brand name apparel, footwear, equipment, unique golf accessories and souvenirs. They also change seasonally to reflect individual distinctive style.

     

    Clubhouse

    The Clubhouse Centre is home to both restaurants, the golf shop, and a fitness centre. It is the centre of the Resort and features a stunning curved staircase, a great room complete with leather furniture and fireplace, with extensive use of marble and rich Honduran mahogany throughout.

    How to Get There

    The Crown Isle Resort lies on Vancouver Island, situated on the South West coast of Canada and North-west of Vancouver. Vancouver Island can be reached from a number of ferries that operate along the  leaving directly from Vancouver city, or there are also a few ferries that operate the further north you go. There are also various local airports on Vancouver Island that have flights reachable from various North American destinations; from these airports the Crown Isle Resort is never too far away.
